Currency Creek

Currency Creek appears to be a large expanse of open water, and is entered via a channel marked by 2 poles just past Laffin Point. The poles indicate the start of a deep channel for about 500m which then does a dog-leg to starboard against a sand bar and then turns back to port. It then continues for a small distance before petering out to the shallow depth of all the surrounding water. There is an overnight destination for boaties in the creek, but it is currently unavailable (2011) as the way has been blocked by an environmental regulator placed during the recent drought.
