|
Sunday 3 |
Pre-season ‘tune-up’ cruise.
Dust off the cobwebs, empty the bilge, air out the cabin but most
importantly get sailing.
A day cruise to wherever the wind blows us. (Probably Clayton for a BBQ
lunch). |
|
November 2010 |
|
Saturday and Sunday 6 & 7 |
Cruise up the Finnis River and stay overnight.
Follow the racing boats to the landing way up the Finnis. This is a
delightful place to spend the night and a nice long sail. There are no
facilities at the landing except a BBQ pit, so bring chairs and a BBQ
dinner with a plate to share. |
|
December 2010 |
|
|
There are no club cruising events in December, but the break between
Christmas and the New Year is a great time to get away from it all in
your boat. |
|
January 2011 |
|
Sunday 9 |
On water novelty events at 1030 and 1400.
This is a family day with some fun and competition in boats off the club
marina. Bring a picnic lunch and any watercraft are welcome. There might
even be prizes. |
|
Tuesday and Wednesday 25 & 26 |
Night cruise to Clayton.
BBQ tea at the GRYC at 7pm, then at dusk set off for Clayton to stay the
night. Wednesday morning the CBBC will be having their Australia Day
Breakfast to which we are invited (cost less than $10). |
|
February 2011 |
|
Saturday and Sunday 12 & 13 |
Overnight cruise to the Coorong.
Come and watch the racing boats fight it out in the salt water, and
then have a pleasant night alone under the sandhills of the Coorong. You
will need to bring everything, but toilets are provided. (No fires
allowed) |
|
March 2011 |
|
Saturday 19 |
Cruise to Clayton with lunch provided by the CBBC.
This is in conjunction with the Clayton Regatta, so come and cheer the
racing boats as they race up to Clayton and then back to Goolwa after
lunch. |
|
Saturday 26 |
End of season raft-up.
We will cruise to the middle of nowhere and pull into a secluded bank
for an on-boat combined lunch raft-up. |
|
April 2011 |
|
Friday 22 |
Good Friday – there is no club event over Easter, but it is a great time
to get away for a last sail before it starts to get too cold. |
